Overview of Microsoft Office button in Microsoft Office Word 2007

In Microsoft Office Word 2007, the Office Button is located at the top left corner of the Microsoft Office Word application. Clicking on the Office Button, the options that can be seen are detailed below.

• New : To create a new document.

• Open : To open an existing document.

[ Click on Microsoft Office button and then click on Open (Open dialog box will appear). Navigate to the folder that contains the file you want to open. Then, select the file and click on Open button. ]

• Save : To save the changes to the active document.

• Save As : To save a new document with in your desired folder on your computer's hard drive with  a desired file name.

[ Click on Microsoft Office button and click on Save As (Save As dialog box will appear). Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file and type a file name in File Name box. Click on Save button at the end. ]



• Print : To print a hard copy of the currently active file. From the Print Preview option under Print button you can preview the document before printing. In Print Preview window, you can modify page margins, page orientation, page size, zoom in & zoom out, etc.

[ Click on Microsoft Office button and click on Print (Print dialog box will appear). Select a printer from the Name box. Select the pages that you want to print like All pages or a range of pages. Select the number of copies you want to print and Click Ok ]

• Prepare : To prepare the document for distribution, adding signatures or encryption, etc.

• Send : To send or share the document via email, fax, etc.

• Publish : To publish the document to document server or a website.

• Close : To close the currently open document.
