How to change Paragraph Settings in Microsoft Word?
- Select paragraphs or click on a specific paragraph.
- Click on Home tab.
- Click on Paragraph dialog box launcher.
- Paragraph dialog box will open.
- Select Alignment, Outline Level (Body Text), set Indentations and Spacing.
- Click on OK button.
Alignment:
To change the alignment of the paragraph, you can select Left / Centered / Right / Justify.
Example:
Left Alignment If you choose Left Alignment, then the text of the applied paragraph will lined up along the left margin. |
Center Alignment If you choose Center Alignment, then the text of the applied paragraph will aligned around a midpoint. |
Right Alignment If you choose Right Alignment, then the text of the applied paragraph will lined up along the right margin. |
Justify Alignment If you choose Justify Alignment, then the text of the applied paragraph will lined up along both margins. |
